ICEJ AID
ICEJ
AID touches the lives of people in Israel by contributing
to projects in every sector of society across the nation.
We fulfill our calling to comfort God's people by meeting
the needs of children, elderly, disabled, lone soldiers, new
immigrants and needy families. ICEJ AID represents Christians
around the world who wish to support Israel through the qualified
and caring staff of our department. We are your hands and
feet in the land.
ICEJ
AID receives requests for assistance from Israeli organisations
and Social Services programs all over the country. These are
assessed by personal contact and projects that receive funding
are followed up. Many warm relationships have thus been established.
For over 25 years, we have been privileged to make a difference
in the lives of many needy people. Every time we are able
to fulfill a request, it is an opportunity to express comfort
to the people of Israel and show a different face of Christianity
from what has shamefully been shown over past centuries. We
cannot meet every plea for help; it is only with your support
that we can say, "Christians care".

Australian Christians support the people of Israel
It is our privilege to tell Israel that they have
friends in the nations - people who may live far away but
who have Israel on their hearts. Israel faces increasing security
threats, pressures from the world community and as a young
nation in today's modern world, challenging and widespread
social needs. The support of Christians from Down Under is
an important component in offering encouragement. It is not
just the gift but the love behind it that helps and strengthens
the recipients. |

assisting Children's Projects:
An After-School program for disadvantaged children
A special kindergarten for autistic children
|
| It is a tragedy when
little children have to be taken from the family for their
own good. However there is a place that provides a loving
home in the ancient port city of Jaffa. When a request was
made for 10 beds with side guards suitable for small children,
ICEJ AID had the pleasure of delivering the funding on behalf
of Australian Christians. The warm and efficient lady who
is a mother to 3 of her own and up to 10 other children at
a time, was welcoming and very appreciative of the gift. Calm
and loving, this lady and her husband have been parents at
the Centre for 8 years, caring fulltime for these children
who need so much love. A thank you letter reads, "… We
greatly appreciate your help. Please forward our sincere gratitude,
to the actual donors of the funds". . |

By
assisting Youth Projects:
In a town on the Mediterranean, Study Centres were established in the poorest neighbourhoods for youth from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds. An improvement in their grades was achieved almost without exception. One student went from the verge of being a school dropout to a top student and represented his school overseas. His life has completely turned around and for the first time his parents are proud of him.

The Aliyah of the Ethiopian community is an historic one, but life in Israel has not been easy and the youth have their own struggles. Their parents do not always bridge the culture and language gap of modern Israel so a youth club provides a safe environment for teenagers and a place they call their own. Recreational and educational opportunities with professional tutors are offered. Problems are shared with peers and counselors. The location though is in a very hot part of Israel and the club rooms are not spacious. With 150 young people crowded together the temperatures in summer were difficult. When they were finally able to purchase air conditioners - relief lasted for 3 weeks only. To their great disappointment and sense of betrayal, the units were stolen. It was back to great discomfort. But it didn't keep the young people away. So the donation from Aussie Christians to buy new units was greatly appreciated.
