In 2003 the Neighbours Aid Community Store opened in
Nambour, Queensland with the sole purpose of raising funds,
clothing and supplies for orphaned children in Israel and
Thailand.
Within a year and with the help of more than 50 like-hearted
volunteers the store has been so successful that they have
had to take over a warehouse in town just to house their donations.
Amongst
the groups supported by Neighbours Aid are : The International
Christian Embassy, Jerusalem ; Orr Shalom Children's Homes
and WIZO's Social Assistance Programs.
These
groups are based in Israel and are dedicated to helping the
needy within Israel.
